Graduate Courses

This schedule outlines the online agricultural courses that are available each term. Graduate students in Agronomy or Horticulture may select classes from this list to fulfill their course requirements.  Each student should work with his/her faculty advisor to complete and file a Memorandum of Courses (MOC) with Graduate Studies, a blueprint for student coursework, about midway through their program. Enroll through MyRed.nebraska.edu and follow the registration procedures. Contact instructors for syllabi.

Priority Registration for Fall 2017 starts Monday, March 27, 2017.

Course Delivery

The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture Online Program uses 4 virtual communities: Blackboard, Canvas,  Campus Extension and the Plant & Soil Science eLibrary (click for directions on the eLibrary).

Students must maintain acceptable grades while in the graduate program.  The Office of Graduate Studies requires that students earn a B or above on all courses cross-listed with an undergraduate class and a C or above on all graduate-only courses.

For an official listing of online classes, be sure to visit MyRed, the Graduate Course Catalog or the list of online courses offered through the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CASNR) (pdf). To enroll in AG*IDEA classes, contact Diane Wasser, AG*IDEA coordinator at dwasser1@unl.edu, 402-472-6251.

Schedule by Semester

This schedule lists courses that are available each term. Working with their advisor, masters or certificate students may select from these courses to fulfill their program requirements.  Each MS student should file a formal Memorandum of Courses (MOC) about midway through the program with Graduate Studies. For questions, contact Kathy Schindler, 402-472-1730.
