OverviewThrough the AG*IDEA consortium of universities, UNL graduate students can now complement their degree programs with additional online courses in horticulture and grassland management. The courses are taught by faculty from the following institutions: Kansas State University, North Carolina State University, North Dakota State University, Oklahoma State University, South Dakota State University, Texas Tech University and the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Please visit the certificate pages to see the available courses.
All courses are offered at the AG*IDEA common graduate tuition rate of $580 per credit hour for the 2018–19 academic year. The AG*IDEA common tuition includes all fees, exclusive of the application fee, but does not include textbooks and other materials that may be required by instructors.
Because this is a special contract program at UNL, enrollment and student billing are handled outside the MyRed system. Enrollment is handled by Dan Cotton, CASNR Distance Education Consortium Coordinator, and billing is handled by UNL's Office of Online and Distance Education. Students may not enroll in these courses without a permission code. Once a student has enrolled, a registration confirmation and tuition statement will be mailed to the student's address of record.
Students interested in enrolling in these courses should contact Dan Cotton, 402.472.8841, to request appropriate forms. A Memorandum of Courses (MOC) will also be required for master's students who wish take the Ag*Idea classes.
